A Politically Exposed Person (PEP) is someone who currently holds, or has held in the past 12 months, an important public role in a government, international, or foreign institution. This also includes their close family members (like spouses, parents, siblings, children, and their spouses or partners) and close associates.
The following people are considered PEPs:

Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ministers, and their Deputies or Assistants.

Members of Parliament or similar law-making bodies.

Leaders of political parties.

Judges of Supreme Courts, Constitutional Courts, or similar courts whose decisions are usually final.

Members of audit offices or central bank boards.

Ambassadors, diplomats, and senior military officers.

Leaders or managers of government-owned companies.
-
Directors, Deputies, and board members of international organizations.
